16 Best Online Websites To Watch Free Anime Like Bleach and Naruto Shippuden

The first anime title that I ever saw was Doraemon. I was a kid and I loved it so much that I’ll sit in front of the tv and wait for it every weekday before 5pm. Later on, came Dragonball Z and the series blew me away. I even have a collection of DBZ manga on one of my shelves. Then came Naruto. Then came Bleach. Then came Death Note. Sometimes when I’m free, I’ll check out other anime titles from around the web and watch them.

Along the way, I found many, many useful sites which I think some of you anime fans are also familiar with. Below are some of the best sites on the net to find, watch and download anime. Check out the ones you have not checked out before.

May you be an anime addict by the end of the post. =)

  1. AnimeHere
  2. Watch anime without leaving the site or download if you wish. AnimeHere a really huge collection of subbed anime and even some dubbed ones. There is also a rating system for viewers to give feedback and comments.

  3. Rave Anime
  4. Recommended if you enjoy watching high quality videos for Rave Anime is a forum dedicated to high definition anime videos.

  5. AnimeSuki
  6. Anime is the Japanese contraction and pronunciation of the English word animation. Suki means like or love in Japanese. AnimeSuki has been providing unlicensed subbed anime torrents since 26th December 2002. The links found on AnimeSuki are actually linked to trackers all over the web and is one of the top sites for unlicensed anime torrent links.

Most groups use Scarywater, EdwardK or AniRena as their tracker. They don’t track sexually explicit porn like hentai but they have the lightweight ecchi which also means pervert in Japanese. When an anime title gets licensed by an American company, it is instantly removed from the site. Check out their licensed list for the titles that have been removed.

  7. Reality Lapse
  8. Episodes are in rmvb and avi format and the limit set is 2 episodes per download. Some are also English dubbed. Decent selections. Soundtracks can also be found. At the time of viewing, they have more than 20,000 chapters of manga in their library. Huge indeed.

  9. Anime Sensei
  10. A really huge anime site that has a forum, an extensive list of anime in all sorts of format (real media, mp4, mkv), latest manga titles and a considerable list of videos available for direct streaming too.

  11. WatchAnimeOn
  12. Quality site to watch anime online that updates it’s content considerably fast. For online streaming, this has to be one of the top 10 sites in the world as episodes are quickly posted and there are a lot of mirrors for every episode. The build of the site is easy to navigate and nice to the eyes.

  13. AnimeTip
  14. The layout of the site may be a bit messy but the content will more than make up for it. New videos are high quality while older ones are still in good shape.

  15. Instantz
  16. Instantz is a really clean and tidy anime site with news on the main page and is not constricted to only anime and manga but drama, music and games as well. 2 cool functions of the site are the sorting and genre search of anime.

  17. AnimeRatio
  18. One of the more well known sites for streaming English dubbed anime. Each episode has multiple sources for you to watch from. Layout is nice and navigating AnimeRatio is easy.

  19. Kumby
  20. A very nice and organised site with over a thousand anime series and movies, live chat, daily updates and is focused on replacing dead links. There is also an anime request form that you can use to request for anime titles that are not listed.

  21. AnimeBuzz
  22. A pretty awesome site where episodes come with titles, unlike other sites where only episode numbers are shown. Moreover, the staff is well known to be efficient, fixing broken links and episodes within a day and friendly too.

  23. AnimeFushigi
  24. The design is clean and nice, advertisement feels like it’s to a minimum and no time limits for watching the videos. AnimeFushigi also provide megavideo bypass mirrors and at least 2 different AnimeFushigi mirrors to stream anime episodes.

  25. Animetake
  26. Just by the looks of it, you can tell AnimeTake is a well organized site. Recent additions are listed at the front for easy navigation. The high quality and high definition videos are updated regularly and real quick. Usually they include torrent links from various fansub groups together with megaupload and rapidshare links. They have manga too!

  27. Otaku Streamers
  28. A pretty decent site that has both subbed and dubbed anime. Usually the videos have ads at the beginning like youtube, but thing is, the site is free. Otaku Streamers update their videos quite fast and the community can be helpful if you know what you’re looking for.

  29. Chia Anime
  30. Chia Anime is one of the biggest manga and anime sites on the net. There are many titles, manga especially, that you can hardly find anywhere else. The only thing is, you may wish they would tell if the episodes are in Japanese with English subtitles or are dubbed in English.

  31. AFTV
  32. A reliable site where list of episodes are easily accessible and both dubbed and subbed anime titles are available.

Tell me, did I miss your favourite site?

  6. Power2All Says:

You can also use AniRena Torrent Tracker. ( http://tracker.anirena.com/ )
Most fansub groups, scanlation providers, and raw providers use more and more the AniRena Networks tracker.
Maybe this thread could be looked at better as I’m a indirect and direct the same as BoxTorrents, with the addition that I also host torrents for Fansub groups, and not only unlicensed anime. fyi.

i thought crunchyroll wasn’t very good coz they didn’t have full episodes for many of the series i wanted…….they only had ova’s and the openings and endings.

  10. Animewatch Says:

  16. Narisa Says:

I’d argue that Veoh.com ‘s anime selection is far superior to YouTube. The quality’s better too.

  17. peterx Says:

YouTube quality kind of sucks though.

I prefer direct download sites myself, torrents are too much of a hassle, besides, it’s impossible to find old or rare series, only the popular crap.

  18. liam_steele Says:

actually, realitylapse.com isn’t limited to two downloads. it is limited to two downloads per server, e.g. alpha, beta etc. i have downloaded about 16 files simultaneously from them before.

  19. kinglion Says:

can anyone please help me wit ha website which has direct download of anime and dont send to any file hostering website?

  20. redPanda Says:

here are another good one with direct anime download : http://www.animejockey.com

  21. otaku Says:

mosts those sites are not download sites, some are dead, some cost money, animeviewer is nothing like youtube, it merely is a site with embedded videos on it, nothing special about it…

a good actual download site would be

    http://www.moeotaku.com

daanime is just megaupload links and realitylapse has crappy quality rmvb reencodes

only three of those sites mentioned were worth mentioning; animesuki, anime-eden, boxtorrents.

  22. Sensei Says:

    http://www.anime-sensei.net/

    Excellent site for anime downloads

  23. Chris Says:

(Otaku) moeotaku is ood indeed. It’s been added to the list.

    (Sensei) thanks. added.

  24. Power2All Says:

    @Chris:
Why is AniRena not listed yet, but other tracker sites are ?

  25. Devon Null Says:

“Firefox can’t find the server at http://www.moeotaku.com.”
“Firefox can’t find the server at http://www.animeyume.org.”

Two out of the three I had an interest in on your list that I wasn’t already using (i.e. Boxtorrents)

  26. Chris Says:

(Power2All) AniRena lacks information about itself. Anyways, i’ve just added it to the list. I hope it grows in time to come.

  27. Chris Says:

(Devon Null) I don’t understand what you are saying?

  28. .... Says:

    kewl…TY ALOT!!!

  29. @Chris Says:

    @Chris:
    It doesn’t.
Its a torrent tracker builded in phpBB3.
Used by 130 fansub groups at the moment.
And it has around 20 million hits per month.
    Information enough ?

  30. @Chris Says:

Oh, and I am working on a FAQ page atm, just very busy in real life ^^

  31. Power2All Says:

    @Chris = Power2All xD
    Also, nice blog ;)

  32. Chris Says:

(Power2All) Got it. Will be waiting on your FAQ page. Till then, have a nice day.

  33. Gary Says:

    What?! No http://www.animenewsnetwork.com ?

  34. Chris Says:

    (Gary) Isn’t that a newsportal?

  35. Southrop Says:

I’m surprised TokyoTosho isn’t on this, or Baka-Updates. All fansub releases, plus raws, non-english, etc. are all added to TT by themselves or their distro people.
    http://www.tokyotosho.com/
Baka-Updates is updated by fans, so it’s slightly slower to update, but it’s a very good collection.
    http://www.baka-updates.com/
And it seems that AnimeYuMe is, and will be, down for a good while.

Also, BoxTorrents has had an updated skin for quite a while now. Perhaps it’s best to update the screenshot for it (and all the rest)?

  36. D*Angel Says:

Nice sites. I know almost all of them, I just NEED to add a correction.

    It’s about AnimeYume (not AnimeYuMe)
Yume is 1 whole japanese word and it means dream. So the translation is Anime Dream.

    It irritated me (^_~)

  37. Chris Says:

(Southrop) Thanks for the info! Both added.

    (D*Angel) Corrected.

  38. Wayne Cheah Says:

to anyone who posted these websites.. i have a correction to make here..

I’m connecting from MAlaysia.. and uhh.. ani down and da anime seems to be closed. :P

  39. Chris Says:

(Wayne) Thanks for the heads up.

  40. (-A-) Says:

One of my new favorite sites is Anime Lime. They do not have download links, but stream various series online through other services (Sadly some Megavideo links too). To me, it’s so far proven to be an excellent site with quite an amount of anime to choose from.

    http://www.animelime.com/

  41. Power2All Says:

    You can remove CrunchyRoll.
They do nothing with anime torrents and direct downloads.
They’re just a streaming site and removed all fansub related stuff of their system.
They are even cooperating with BayTSP.

  42. Power2All Says:

    Another update.
    BoxTorrents is no-more.
    It’s renamed to BakaBT.

  43. Power2All Says:

    Another update.
AnimeViewer, it’s a streaming site only.
You say Anime “TORRENT AND DIRECT DOWNLOAD” sites.
Streaming-only sites don’t fall under that.

  44. Power2All Says:

    Another update.
Reality Laps: It has now a option to download AVI files.
    So not only RMVB.

  45. Power2All Says:

    Another update.
Again, Youtube is not sharing anything, except for streams.
There is no torrent download or direct download option on youtube, so this is actually miss-information.

  46. Power2All Says:

    Another update.
MoeOtaku is down cause of no cash-flow.

  47. Anono Says:

    Oh jesus god damn christ..

Seriously? You put 2 of the worst choices you could ever give like crunchyroll and youtube on a list like this?

About the only 2 worth a damn are AnimeSuki and Baka Updates. Hell, boxtorrents has been a garbage dump for years like most public “archival rather then new torrent listings” ones.

Good private ones like bakabt have murdered crap ones like boxtorrents, nyaatorrents,

God, this guys just a random idiot with a blog, move along..

  48. dust Says:

ah i wanna share another great download torrent site!
    http://thepiratebay.org

  49. Tosin Says:

    Funny.Anono,will u quiet down there?Dust,u must b sick

  50. fozex Says:

Rave-anime.com is hands down the best site on the web for downloading anime, but they only open registration every month or two so it’s hard to get into.

  51. Piey Says:

    http://www.zomganime.com/

    Is this site good.
I need a site even if paid registration as long as its safe well stocked in titles for new and old anime for download.
    Ty ^.^

  52. Cheung Says:

They have huge stocked of English dubbed as well as subbed anime to watch and download. The downloads are on their forum on http://animesquish.org.

  53. Ellie Says:

Also try anime-access.com. The list is extensive. Disadvantage is that a non-donating user will be limited to just 500MB or 5 downloads per 24-hour period. But then donation is as low as 6.95USD. Not that bad.

  54. Kelsey Says:

I just got put in charge of my schools anime club, which means that I need to find and download anime. Does anyone know any good anime blog and/or torrent/download sites? Help is much appreciated!

  55. Luscious Anime Says:

Here’s another good anime direct download site http://www.lusciousanime.com they provide the latest anime releases on direct download and they are fast. They also have tons of anime series that are still working!
